The first lecture by Attorney General Douglas Gansler on January 28, 2010 was a tremendous success. The James Rouse Theater held 740 students while the other students viewed the lecture live in their classrooms. Teachers had discussed the role of the attorney general with students so they were well prepared to ask questions. A reception for Mr. Gansler was held in the guidance center with 40 students attending. In this setting, students were able to meet Mr.Gansler and ask more questions about preparing for success after high school. Students and staff were very enthusiastic about Mr. Gansler’s visit to Wilde Lake High School. Our thanks are extended to the members of the planning committee for their work in setting up the series. We also want to thank our staff who helped prepare students for this opportunity. Everyone enjoyed themselves in the experience and Mr. Gansler said “I had fun.” |
